Entry Open for Three Peaks Yacht Race

Published 13:08 on 29 Jan 2015
The Three Peaks Yacht Race 2015 starts on 27th June @18:00 and entry is now open. Sail up the Wild West coast and run up the summits of Snowden, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, the highest peaks of Wales, England and Scotland - one of the oldest and most remarkable endurance race in the world.
Veteran, Keith Mander, whose Sigma 38 Mistral of St. Helier has completed the race 4 times, observes this year there are several excellent rule changes which include an improvement of the IRC competition to exclude any time waiting for the lock at Whitehaven. So, at last, it is based only on sailing time. If this is successful then 2016 will see IRC used for all of the Trophies including the overall ones. There's a new and exciting website http://www.threepeaksyachtrace.co.uk showing how great an adventure this is - a true challenge for any sailor.
Keith Mander can provide advice on competing in this incredible event and can provide excellent running contacts - Mistral has had winning runners twice and 2nd place twice. He also can supple two sets of 4 meter ores with rollocks and fittings for a Sigma 38
