    Cowes - Yarmouth - Cowes

After the disappointment of Saturday's race to Yarmouth being abandoned due to lack of wind and big tides competitors were treated to a champagne sailing Sunday with glorious sunshine and a lovely breeze. Panda Nova was first Sigma 38 home and was second in IRC5. Panda's crew included two Panda cubs, Anna and Andrew Gordon's two children. Gallant was second with Bellerophon third out of the 5 competing Sigma 38s. Congratulations to you all!

Looks like Persephone, crewed by Karen and Nigel Goodhew, despite racing double handed against fully crewed boats, is first Sigma 38 and 3rd in IRC 5. A great present for Karen who is celebrating her birthday today. What better place than St. Vaast for a celebration. Marta is 2nd and  SAM, skippered by Peter Hopps, showed her potential and is 3rd. Spring Championships Day 1 and 2 - Weather Gods Smile!

A glorious weekend of racing with more wind than forecast and sun! The race committee excelled with 4 windward leewards on Sat and 2 round the cans on Sunday. For most crews this was there first time this year back out on the water. The relatively short legs on Sat tested boat handling and big tides and flukey winds on Sun certainly tested tactical skills. With Sigma 38 racing in IRC 3 Persephone got
