Situation Vacant - Sigma 38 Class Secretary

Passionate about yacht racing? Love the social side that goes with it? Then the Sigma 38 Class Association needs you!

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic individual with good admin skills. If you have a flair for encouraging and cajoling others into getting things done, that will be a definite bonus!

Specific tasks will include:

• - organising social events, including the most highly anticipated event of the social calendar, the famous Annual Party
• - coordinating bi-monthly meetings of the Class Committee and the annual Class Association AGM
• - recording minutes and facilitating decisions for the future of the class most specifically securing the supply of Sigma 38 parts
• - coordinating Sigma 38 regattas such as the National Championships
• - liaising with other yachting organisations to make sure the voice of the Sigma 38 Class is heard
• - keeping members informed through the website and social media and targeted updates
• - replying to external enquiries
• - sourcing class prizes

This role, as with all positions on the committee, is voluntary and offers a great opportunity to understand and learn more about the details of race management. The sense of pride for the continued success of the Sigma 38 Class and the joy of working with enthusiastic, fun and proactive people who share a love of sailing is hugely rewarding.
