IRC Double Handed National Championships - Fri. 18th and Sat. 19th Sept.

Published 17:14 on 25 Aug 2015

Whilst not part of our Sigma 38 calendar this is really a fun championship with 25 boats entered - you get 2 nights berthing in Cowes plus 2 meals at the RCYC as well as race management and there's no excuse about not being able to get enough crew.

Given the big upswing in DH racing for Fastnet and other races we are promote the extension of this early bird entry to see if we can get some other Sigma 38s entered.

Organisers of the 2015 IRC Double Handed National Championships, to be held on in the Solent, have extended the deadline for the early entry fee to Wednesday September 2nd, despite having 25 boats already entered. After September 2nd the race entry fee will increase from £200 to £300. Entry includes complimentary berthing in Cowes and tickets for both the supper on Friday evening and the prizegiving dinner on Saturday.

Chris and Vanessa Choules are already in the mix and ready to defend their 2014 title. Their Sigma 38, 'With Alacrity' is entered. Chris Charlesworth has also entered his Contessa 26, 'Meow' with the intention of improving on his 2014 bronze position.

Mike Golding has entered and will soon be out training in the Figaro 11 kindly provided by the Artemis Offshore Academy.
